Pittsburgh Crawfords Question

I am writing/illustrating a book on the Pittsburgh Crawfords and was wondering if anyone has a scorecard from one of their games circa 1932-1936? I have been searching for years and have never come across one. And if anyone has anything else Pittsburgh Crawfords related, I'd sure like to see it!

Presumably you've already checked with the SABR Negro Leagues committee and with Cooperstown. But if you haven't...

Yes, I've checked with the HoF and Negro Leagues Museum, and I'm a member of the SABR Negro Leagues committee. I thought I'd try outside the organizations and ask the collectors who tend to have better stuff than the museums. Despite being one of the best and popular of the barnstorming teams in the mid 1930's, Crawfords stuff is pretty scarce outside a few broadsides and press pictures.

H Gary - I have never seen a Crawfords scorecard. I assume that you have seen these three images before, but if not, here is what I have:

1928 Crawfords w/ Gibson
1932 Crawfords w/ Gibson, Paige, Charleston and Radcliffe
1935 Crawfords w/ Gibson, Charleston, Bell and Johnson

Kevin- thanks for posting those. I have copies of those team photos, and they come in handy when it comes to illustrating some of the obscure players on the team of whom no other photographs exist.

You'd think that somewhere there are Crawford scorecards! The team was one of the most popular touring clubs from 1933-1936 and they played all over the east coast and midwest during that period. My primary reason for seeking out a scorecard is to see if the players had uniform numbers. None of the photos I've found from 1933 are posed to show their backs where number would have been. Another baseball historian and myself are writing a comprehensive book on the 1933 team, and a listing of their uniform numbers (if they were issued in '33) would have been a cool thing to include.
