Is there a law somewhere

that the last item in every auction has to be a ticket for Woodstock?

drcy 10-10-2019 05:53 PM

It's not the law, but there was no Yoodztock or Zoodstock.

The funny story is why there are so many of those left.

No but there have to be 10+ Babe Ruth single signed balls.

Because when we got there we didn’t need them.

Ironically enough, I'm looking for a 3-day Woodstock ticket for a Christmas gift for my sister. :D

Was one last night in Mile High. Oddly it was the third to last item in the auction.

And they all still remained in mint condition after all these years? Amazing

My understanding is that they weren't sold in advance, (Maybe a few? I'm not sure) and that whatever was going to be the box office at the gate closed for good very early.

Lots of tickets were unsold, and became a warehouse type find years later.

I believe there are fakes, and have been since at least 1980. But I don't know how to tell the difference. I may have been told at one time, but it would have been in the early 80's and the source was trying to sell me a couple tickets, so I considered it unreliable even back then when I believed almost anything.

Give it the sniff test

If it don't smell like Weed it's a fake.

It's not like it was raining there, or anything.
