Help identifying league and team
 

I just picked up this postcard and need help identifying the league and or team. "Champions 1916 LBL" I deal with Japanese baseball and have interest in identifying the unknown player as well. Any help is appreciated.<p>

Judging from the small and basic stature of the grandstand along with the unkempt field... an industrial league or small-town team seems probable. Sorry I can't offer more help.

A Google search led me to EBAY and a dealer by the name of IMPALA7 who sold this postcard maybe to you? No other info except that it was found in an old house. So maybe IMPALA7 can tell you if he found the postcard and where and that might narrow down the search. He is from the Illinois region and the "C" on one of the caps might be an old Cubs cap.
