SGC Grading Studio Proofs as Old Judge Cabinets

Posted By: Joe_G.
I feel this is a mistake, how do others feel? A studio proof, in this case Uhlman studio, being graded as an N173. I guess I just tripled my collection of N173s.

http://www.legendaryauctions.com/LotDetail.aspx?lotid=96464

Best Regards,
Joe Gonsowski

Posted By: Tom Boblitt
at one time. They should at least put N173 'Proof' or whatever terminology or Goodwin Studios Proof or something like that. There are hundreds of these out there. We don't need them out there as N173's.

Posted By: Jay
This is a major screw up on SGC's part. N173s were issued by Goodwin & Co., studio proofs were not. They should simply be labeled as to the issuer and with the player identified.

Posted By: Joe_G.
All kidding aside, I'm glad to hear both SGC and Legendary Auctions are taking care of the situation so quickly. It's a great looking cabinet and I hope it finds a nice new home. FWIW, some of the studio proofs do just as well as the N173 counterparts (both being rare, both being visually pleasing).

Best Regards,
Joe Gonsowski
