It was posted to an auctioneers group I belong to by an excited auctioneer who was going to be calling the sale live. I didn't have the heart to post in that thread on FB, but I had to call it out somewhere.

Very smart. Might be worth $45 million in a year or two!

Here's an idea. Get an insane estimate for it (if you don't already have one.) Donate to a museum and get a charitable deduction of 50% of the inflated estimate. Just spitballing here.

...or put it up for auction every year and get free publicity for your auction house because the media wont remember that you ALSO put it up for auction the year before and then withdrew it......
