Doyle Photo by Bain

This 4x3" photo is dated 7/18/1909 and attributed to Bain. Reverse is noted as Larry Doyle and front noted as Doyle NY Americans, or Slow Joe Doyle.

The uni looks like NYAL but I am not expert in this. Any folks want to weigh in??

Looks like a Yankees logo to me. I think that 1909 was the first year that they used it.

The Giants' logo was similar but the "Y" intersected the "N" at different spots.

The outfield advertising--OFC Rye, McMullen's White Label, Regal Shoes, and Quality Chocolates--indicates it is American League (Hilltop) Park.

Thanks. That is really helpful. I am sure whoever wrote Larry Doyle on reverse was confused. That seemed to be a theme in 1909 with T206!

Certainly looks like Joe Doyle to me...

I just noticed the Doyle photo. The player shown is Jack Quinn. I have other images of Quinn taken by Bain and others at around the same time. Dennis
