Does anyone know how eBay always manage to release these coupons a few hours AFTER you have made ( and paid for) a big purchase?

I got lucky today. I won a semi-expensive auction (for me) last night and while I hate to delay a payment, I waited until this afternoon to pay just in case a coupon became available today. Voila, 15% off :D Doesn't usually work so nicely for me...

Was hoping a coupon like this would show up soon. Big (for me) auction ending tonight an hour before the coupon expires.

I paid for something this morning. Ugh.

Misery loves company...I still found a card I needed...EBAY loves me.

It took me a while, but I found a nice card that I saved $20 on.

That's a bummer. I was one of the lucky ones on the flip side of that coin. Can't wait to get it in hand and post pics!

Lucky for me, I was selling something ending tonight which seemed to go higher than it normally might have, so I'm guessing it got a little bump on the price because of the coupon. Winner winner!

Unfortunately, couldn't find anything this time. It seems everything I want is more than 15% overpriced. :D

They posted on Blowout that the eBay leaks are getting announced on slickdeals a day before they go live on eBay: there is supposed to be a 10% eBay bucks rebate going on tomorrow and Saturday.

Don't feel bad. I made 2 purchases tonight thinking I can finally catch one of these deals from ebay only to find out, since both were not the same currency, (CDN & US) they can't combine them so the 15% off didn't work for me! :mad:

Truth is, I really didn't want/need these cards but I thought with the 15% off, I am sure I can find something I may like.

Was it a T206 Old Mill Cy Young?

Twasn't but sounds like a nice pickup for someone. I keep borderline cards on my watchlist for times like these. Ended up using my second account to save $75 on another card, the coupon helped!

Actually, that Cy Young is a little low end for me. I was looking at this 1990 Fleer Jose Uribe.

I had a complete fail on this coupon (although I did use it). I paid for items in the morning that I won the night before instead of waiting like I knew I should have. Then I spent tons of time trying to find decent priced items. I finally came up with about $50 worth of cards but way too much time spent for the savings. About 5 minutes after I pay, I realize I had been waiting on a coupon to buy 10 binders (around $85 list price) for sets that are sitting in boxes. Total flub on my part and would have saved me a lot of time to take advantage of the coupon and not spend all that time trying to find decent deals.

Now I have to still wait on the binders and let the cards sit in boxes!

Nice little advantage here. Should this remain true, payment can be delayed a day until the deal drops.

It's funny when you see the sellers who know about the coupon code add it to the tile of their listing (1988 Donruss Greg Jefferies Rookie Card!!! - Use PRONTO15 today to save 15%) ;) to try to get the fish into the boat. Of course, these very same people have already raised the BIN price by way over 15% before doing that.

And the deal is up: however the minimum is $150. That's the highest minimum I've ever seen for a deal.

No code; you have to get the email invite to use the eBay Bucks special, so you also have had to sign up for the eBay promotional emails. Even then, only about half the accounts get any specific Bucks special.

I had a very nice surprise recently when I bought s $600 item that ended just before the last 10% ebay bucks ended I didn't pay before the deadline but got the $60 bucks anyway. I always thought it was when you paid not when the auction ended.
