Hey Adam, what is the size of that photo (the one that is the same as the Old Gold postcard)? Any idea what that's from?

I'm a little late to the party. Nice cards everyone. I don't think Jackie has an ugly card.

Has anyone actually seen the "How to Bunt" flipbook? I just noticed someone with a WTB ad for it, but I'm not sure it was made. It's listed on the flipbooks, but not on the order card. I would love to see one if someone has it.

about 4 x 5. As a matter of fact, I do know what it is from. It was a premium with the old National Sports Council boys' exercise courses around 1954. There's also a Duke Snider mislabeled Don Newcomb [sic]

and a Marciano

Cool, thanks. Never would have guessed somebody could mix up Duke and Newk. :)

Thanks, Shaun. It took a while to find. I like the oddball hard to find stuff. Mainstream is just so...mainstream.

Jackie Robinson "goodies".

1947...... What a year ! My first BB cards pulled from BOND BREAD packages in the Fall of 1947. Jackie Robinson playing for the Brooklyn Dodgers.
And, one of the most exciting 7-game World Series (Dodgers vs Yankees).....check-it-out, you don't have to be a New York fan to really appreciate it.

. . . And, an early 1947 Dodgers vs. Phillies Program . . . . Note Jackie's playing 1st Base, since Stanky is the 2nd Baseman.

And misspell Newcombe's name. Not a lot of care in the QC end of it.

So, there was some guy in New Jersey who pulled this card from a pack. He actually owned three Leaf Jackies. He had some 51' Topps Ringside cards, 52' Topps baseball - it was a pretty large collection. He passed away and his family sent these cards off to REA. The Leaf Jackies got PSA 2, PSA 3 and PSA 4. The winner of the PSA 4 flipped it to me, so that makes me the third person to ever own it! Pretty cool, eh? The bottom right corner could have been folded back into place prior to submitting it for encapsulation, but REA didn't touch it. They are true professionals. I know that most dealers would have probably pressed it back into place in order to receive a higher grade from PSA. It feels good owning a card that hasn't been messed with.
