New PSA holders in my is boxes?

Do the new slightly thicker PSA holders still slide easily into the blue and red plastic PSA boxes that holds 25 cards each and that have the individual slots?

If they are for normal issues (ie. 1960 Topps), then yes. If they are for the "patch" or "relic" cards, then no.

I have a blue box I purchased before the new holders were released, and no I can't get a card in one of the new holders to fit. The website for a while said they would update the boxes and since it doesn't say that anymore I would guess maybe they did update them. So it probably depends when the box was purchased. This is off topic, but I still haven't found a solution I like for storing graded cards.

I have the blues and reds as well, and they both fit in mine. I purchased mine before the new cases came out. As stated earlier, only the thicker "patch" card cases don't fit.

I had an older blue box and the new holders would not fit. I bought a "new" box at the SF Tri-Star show and the way I was told to tell the difference was looking at the inside ends of the box. The older boxes had slots for taller slabs. The newer boxes no longer have the slots. I hope I explained that coherently. :)

Not true at all....I have an older style box and the slabs fit fine. As soon as my camera charges up, I will take a pic!

And yes...I have slots for tall boys at the end of the box.

PS - you may meet some resistance halfway down. You aren't going to break anything - I promise. Just push them all the way down. The resistance is very slight. Not even all the slots have resistance. Like I stated earlier, I will post a pic later.

yes, they do fit but put the lid on the box, remove it and see what happens!!

Yes, the new holders do fit into the old plastic boxes however put the lid on the box and try to remove it; the holder gets stuck in its corresponding slot in the lid and it is very difficult to extricate it from the slot. So unless you plan to use the box sans lid, I wouldn't recommend putting the new holders in the old boxes; sorry bobby!!

Argh...I see what you mean....I put the lid on, but when I pulled it off, the cards came with it! Nevermind then....lol

I guess the long black ones will still work?

Do people like the cardboard box shown above? Shipping is estimated to cost more than the box (13 > 7) so I never ordered one esp. after not being thrilled with my blue box that even for the old holders, everything shakes when I move it and the lid isn't very secure - doesn't snap into place. But I never really found anything I liked. Using some plastic containers from Staples and Container store right now.

I got several of those black boxes. They are good. They hold around 66 slabbed PSA cards. I had my entire Tarzan set in there. If you only have a few, then they will flop around until you can fill it up.

Thanks - I had forgotten about those black boxes. One could hold most of my graded collection - I just need to offset that shipping.....

So you're saying resistance is futile?

Sorry, as a Star Trek nerd I couldn't resist.
