The interesting thing to me is that it appears as though they may have been playing against a Woman's team? I have not seen one of those pictured in well over 5 years, and have never actually seen one in person. <br /><br />How many inches tall is it? Is it ceramic with matte finish paint? Any markings or manufacturer stamp on the back or bottom? Congrats... great pickup!

Posted By: <b>Brock G.</b><p>Thanks Mark.<br />It is a shade under 9" tall and has no manufacturers mark anywhere. And you are correct, it is ceramic with a flat finish paint. I had never seen this piece until I came accross this one so I knew it was fairly rare but figured you probably had one or at least owned one at some point. I guess its a tougher piece than I thought.

Posted By: <b>paulstratton</b><p>Picked this up...off of the floor when I opened an old book I bought. Index card signed by Joe Oeschger, who pitched 26 innings in ONE game in 1920. Oddly enough the other pitcher in the same game, Leon Cadore, did the same thing and the game was called due to darkness. Posted By: <b>Keith</b><p>I picked up a couple neat looking college mascot statues lately that are part of the Carter Hoffman/Anri line. The two are a Yale bulldog and an Army mule. The Yale Bulldog is marked Italy on the bottom so I am guessing that this one is an Anri statue and not a Carter Hoffman.
