I've had Goudeys that look to be on thinner stock because they had been in a scrap book and after being soaked and then placed under heavy books while drying caused them to look thinner. I'm going to guess people will want to see a pic to help give a better opinion.

I have only seen Goudey cards with thick cardboard. I have never seen them with thin card stock. The 1941 Play Ball paper issue is the only card of the era that I can think of that was on thin stock. Maybe you have something special, maybe not.

Here is a 1934 Goudey Terry that I was about to list on ebay, with a close-up of the back for comparison.

Here's a front comparison to my Dean. I did notice a small but meaningful irregularity. The orange background is not completely solid print compared to the Dean. Now I'm 99.99% sure it's a counterfeit but the a dialing in...scary!!

The border on the Cochrane looks awfully white.

And the print on the front looks off too...something doesn't seem right.

Cochrane looks bad. Thick white borders, orange looks off in color, top border also looks odd and doesn't jive. Ive had three 34G sets and that card made me cringe instantly.

Border edge of orange is too sharp, letters are too fuzzy. A border is easy to clean up with modern tools, but shooting or scanning text and reproducing it with something other than an incredibly expensive printer still doesn't seem to work.

Edit: For that matter the base path and the silhouette look fuzzy too.

I have handled several hundred 1934 Goudey's over past 40 years and I do not like the Cochrane at all. Paper looks wrong from the photo of the back and worse from front photo. Printing for all the reasons listed. Counterfeit cards are a moving target. I have seen many cards where an example is shown of a correct vs incorrect card only to see it corrected in next batch of counterfeits. Many times tough to tell until card is in your hands.
When the first batch of Goudey reprints came out in the early 1970's when most cards in the set could be had for $5 or less the only 2 exceptions Ruth and Gehrig. But from the gate folks bought the reprints dirtied them up and tried passing them off.
