Expensive labeling error by PSA

This is not the error card but the more common correct spelling.

:p That reminds me of the Honus Wagner flip on a Heinie Wagner T206 a few years back. PSA finally changed it in their system, but it took quite a long time.

Problem is if someone pays BURG money for a BERG then they are getting smoked!

I love 3rd party grading by experts!

I emailed the seller yesterday afternoon, today the listing is updated with a lower reserve. I hope they didn't pay the error price when they bought it but nice to see that they seem like honest sellers!

Im usually with you Dan

and this is waaay wrong but it is a data entry error not a grading error. There are much better things to pick on them about. My biggest problem with grading services is not that they sometimes mislabel a card or point out minute imperfections. My huge gripe with them is the slabbing of trimmed and other heavily altered cards and counterfeits which seems to me to totally undermine the basic premise of card authentication and grading. Personally I feel this is the area that all the alphabet companies earn a big fat F, they all miss far to many alterations. Most are better on authenticity but not as close to 100% as they should be.

I completely agree with you Glyn, no argument here but still a mistake that could cost our newbes some serious coin if they are trusting slabs over educating themselves.

Absolutely true

They need to hire people with at least a passing interest in cards for the data entry spots. I think it would help cut down some of these bad mistakes. My favorite still is a 1956 Spahn labeled as a 1996 topps chrome allen iverson. That was hysterical.
