Real/Fake 1954 Wilson Franks Ted Williams?

How do you determine a Real/Fake 1954 Wilson Franks Ted Williams? Thank you

gman 05-28-2014 05:49 PM

We need more information and/or (and this is preferred) a picture of the front and back of the card in question.

Otherwise, I would say if Ted's head isn't attached to the card, it's a fake.

Can you verify the original card dimensions of 2 5/8" by 3 3/4" or is it 2.5" by 3.5"?

Sean1125 05-28-2014 10:53 PM

2-5/8 x 3-3/4

A good start would be posting this thread in the right section.

Eric72 05-29-2014 04:15 PM

Am I the only one who finds it ironic that someone named Frank Wilson Williams is looking for advice on a Wilson Franks Williams?

:D

No disrespect intended. I just thought it was kinda neat.

Peter_Spaeth 05-29-2014 04:27 PM

Would a fake have a miscut reverse?

I agree!
One way to find out its authenticity is to submit it to a major grading co like PSA, SGC or Beckett. If it comes back slabbed, you can rest easy.
It will also help you whenever you decide to re-sell it, since the buyer won't have the same questions that you have.
This card will display great w/ SGC's black gasket.
