Show off your Federal League Type 1 photos

Scored this one at The National last week - Benny Kauff, 1915 Brooklyn Tip Tops. Would love to see more Federal League photos if anyone is inclined to share :) :

I’ve always loved this one. Waited many, many years to acquire it. Conlon took it hoping to reveal a secret about Brown’s pitching grip to McGraw.

Excellent! I just picked a hand-stitched replica Federal League ball in Cooperstown over HOF Weekend:

William at Huntington is one of the nicest and most knowledgeable people you’ll meet in this hobby. His work is so studied and well done.

Agreed. Spoke to William for quite some time and he's a great guy. We had exchanged some emails in the past but did not have the opportunity to meet until that Sunday in Cooperstown.

There is a great bar in Covington, Kentucky, right over the Roebling Bridge from the Reds ballpark that is probably the only FEDERAL LEAGUE-themed bar in existance. It is called "Smoke Justis" after the ace of the 1913 Federal League Covington Blue Sox, Walter "Smoke" Justis. The Blue Sox's park was just across the street from where the bar is now. I designed the giant miural behind the bar of it's namesake as well as the menus which I made to look like 1913 scorecards. Most of the food on the menu are named after Federal League teams and players, and the bar even sponsored a Covington Blue Sox night at the local minor league team where they dressed up in great 1913 Blue Sox uniforms. If you're in Cincinnati, slip across the bridge and try the smoke wings, they are outstanding!

Wow, I was just in Cincinnati a few weeks ago. Wish I would have known! Only spent enough time in town to catch a Reds game (complete with benches clearing), then get out in time to catch a Cardinals home game the following day.

Next time you gotta let me know, I'll buy you a drink at Smoke Justis

And I’d be stealing that menu...

To follow-up, here's Mordecai in a Federal League Whales uni, but it's dated 'May 2 1916' and the Cubs apparently wore Whales uniforms during the early part of that season.

I would be particularly interested in other Newark Peps images like the Roush posted earlier. That uniform style in particular.

Some great photos guys! That Brown grip is unreal.
