Vermont T206 / Fatima Poster Sign Find!

12 Attachment(s)
This board had 11 T3s glued onto the face of the board. Some of them covered the T206s you see. All of the T206s have damage and most appear to have Sovereign Backs. All are affixed to the board as shown with plenty of HOFrs.

Unfortunately, I obtained the board AFTER the T3s had been crudely removed. The flip side of this piece has a BEAUTIFUL Fatima Poster or sign that has also been affixed to the board.

Pretty cool find but the cards are in pretty rough shape. A few actually appear to have a MINT corner here and there only to be roughed up by glue or ripped or something. So many cool Hall of Famers though!

Thoughts? If there is any interest please PM me. I just wanted to show it off for tonite as its a cool piece.

Peace, Mike

PS Do you see a Wagner somewhere in there? I don't but that would be cool! :)

I love the story this tells! I imagine a couple guys smoking their cigs and sipping on some whiskey after a hard days work. Plastering the cards as they go.

Plastering as they get plastered...

If you do find a Wagner, you could restore it and rake in a couple hundred grand - you might not need much of the card to get it done!

Where in Vermont did you find this?

judsonhamlin 12-23-2018 08:32 PM

Looks like the cards are all 150 and 150/350 series cards, putting the creation of this piece in late '09

This is amazing. Just the uniqueness of this deserves an appreciation of its history. What a cool find!

Thanks so much for giving me the narrow time period! Too cool! Happy Holidays!

ideas?

The board in middle is 1/8 to maybe 1/4 inch thick, where could I bring this to have someone cut it in two pieces so that I could display both sides or possibly sell both sides?

Thanks in advance and no I don't have a super thin skill saw! Or carpentry skills for that matter! :)

Peace, Mike

Show us the good stuff in that white box.

Splitting it?

Cool piece! It is too thin to shave it into 2 slices, IMO. It is probably worth more as an interesting 2-sided piece. I like the story of how it was covered in T3's after they got done filling it up with T206's.

thanks

Ron, thanks for your opinion, I tend to agree on the thickness, thanks!

You could display both sides with this type of framing.

You either need a high ceiling or short people to avoid injury.

I always thought this would look nice hung from a high ceiling in a sports bar.

vthobby 01-10-2019 07:47 PM

Thanks!

I just sent you a PM Frank asking for photos of your 1989 sheet and then I saw you posted on here! Very cool but the piece is owned by me and 2 others so it is getting run on Ebay. Whoever wins it might take your suggestion with glass on both sides! Very cool!

Take care Frank, always good to hear form you!

Peace, Mike
