Auction House Horror Stories

Reading 'Repl'n Mass's post in the Candiman thread really peaked my interest; let's hear some horror stories; you can include ebay; You don't have to name the auction house. I'm curious.

1) What happened?
2) Did you fight back, how?
3) What was the end result.

My only tale was an ebay buy, back in the day, Bought a vintage collection for about two thousand or so; in Arizona, that never arrived, Contacted my local police dept {back than they cared } they called Arizona PO, who picked up the person, threatened them with internet fraud, and whatever else;{no paypal that was during the times of checks & money orders, probably early-mid 90's} and about a week later I got box of worthless late 80's commons. Not what I bought to say the least, but since they delivered cards, the rest was my word against theirs or was no longer a criminal offense.

I bought what was listed as a game used bat from one of the big AHs. Then just like magic as soon as the auction ended the listing changed from game used to professional model. There is a huge difference between the 2. After talking to several people the AH is known for doing this but still somehow has a stellar reputation in the hobby.

I did nothing about it because it was a low end item that I planned on customizing for my collection.
