Beware this raw card seller - trimmed cards
Last month, I purchased this card for my 1974 Topps set. It arrived, and it was a good 1/8" short. Now, I pride myself on being able to determine between a factory cut and a card that's been trimmed. I consider that my area of expertise. This card was definitely trimmed. But it was only a couple of bucks, so I just chalked it up as a loss. I hated to accuse the seller of anything because you never know what happened. Heck, they could have obtained it that way as part of a purchase. Either way, I put them on my "do not buy from" list. Ebay ID is debzsales https://www.ebay.com/itm/1974-TOPPS-...72.m2749.l2649 What are the odds of receiving two of the exact same cards from different sellers, both trimmed 1/8" short? So I checked out each seller a bit more and I've come to the conclusion that they are the same seller. Geographically, they're just a few miles apart and their listings are almost identical. Anyway, if you're looking for raw cards to build your sets, you might want to stay away from these two. |
Who the hell trims $1 cards???

I have been emailing with a former major league player for several years. He will sign for free for anyone that wants his autograph. Yet I still see his $2 autograph forged selling on eBay all the time.:( |

The guy still has 100% positive feedback on Ebay, why not give him a negative there for selling trimmed cards? Seems to me that would do a lot more to alert buyers than starting a thread here.
