Posted By: Brian Goldner
To the best of my knowledge, I've never seen one Leon.
Though such an item lies outside of my primary area of interest, i've seen a wide variety of material over the past few decades, but never one of these.
For that matter, the cards are difficult enough.
Years ago, i heard that Burdick didn't even complete this set, with one or more holes in his collection, filled with a corresponding D-359.

BTW, that certainly is a beautiful example that you have.
My compliments.
Posted By: jay behrens
When I got out in 1991, as far as I know, no one had completed the set. There was one collector that was 2 cards away. It's possible that he has completed it by now.

Anyone know if anyone has completed this set?

Jay

My place is full of valuable, worthless junk.

Posted By: Daniel Bretta
Out of curiosity does anyone know when the last T-208 sold and how much it went for? What are my odds of ever finding an Eddie Collins and how much could I expect to pay for one?

Posted By: Dan Koteles
the Baker I believe in a sgc 50 went for 12k , so....I think roughly in an ex for a Collins would be pretty much the same.
I know where a trimmed Dygert is ,but I do not collect trimmed cards.

Posted By: David Seaborn
Dan,

You are correct...the T208 Baker SGC 50. It sold through a major auction house for $14,792 (including the juice). As some of you know, I have tracked the sale of every graded (PSA, GAI, SGC) pre-1916 card over the last three years. This is the only sale I have in my records but maybe I missed the one Leon's talking about.

Posted By: Dan Koteles
I think that I did see one somewhere else besides the Baker and Leon's that I did see in person at the last nat'l.

wow David , I didnt know that you tracked all pre 1916. Sounds time consuming , but must have it's rewards .I know that you have had some great stuff over a period.

thanks for recapping the final price ....funny ,I was high bidder around midnight and woke up to a 9k jump. That really spoke of it's rarity.

good evening
Dan
