message accounting?

Posted By: Mark Marvelli
I am navigating between the two boards trying to honestly figure out which one functions easier. I like the way Elliots board stacks the related messages to maintain the thread which Mike's doesnt do very effectively. But each time a reply to a post takes place on this board, a number is added to the related message column. If you dont keep track yourself then you have no way of knowing if new related messages have come in without scrolling through that thread again. The old Full Count board made it easy to see what you have already read by listing (and highlighting read messages) all messages on one screen.
So it appears that I have to open all messages and scroll down to see the recent reply's and try to determine which ones I have already read, is that right?

Posted By: leon
Hey Mark,
I am right with ya'....and I think Elliot and Mike are with us too. We all just want to figure out which is going to be the easiest to use and land there. I have seen some folks say they will be frequenting both sites which for right now is probably what everyone is doing. I see the same names, including myself, on both sites. I am "Luckey75002" on the other one. I think both Mike and Elliot have done an admirable job to help us out. I think they will be talking in the near future and possibly make a decision for us. One site would be better than 2 but if both stay up I will be posting on both......WOW ..was that a battleship of words for a rowboat of thought or what??....best regards

Posted By: Elliot (pro9)
Leon is correct, Mike and I are going to see if we can sort things out. Mark you don't need to scroll down all the threads to see if the number has changed. When a new post is made to any thread, that thread goes to the top of the page. Therefore, all you need to do is remember what time you last checked the forum, and check the threads that have updated posts after that time.
