Oakland A's and the Elephant

I wasn't sure, but thought it had it's roots with the Philadelphia A's. Does anyone have any information on this?<br /><br />Thanks in advance.<br /><br />Scott (ubiqty)

The elephant was restored in 1986. For a time, the A's featured a modernized angry elephant with sunglasses, but thankfully, they've gone back to the more traditional elephant of Connie Mack's day ...<br /><br />
