1921 Frederick Foto Ruth in Goodwin

A white whale of mine which I'd rather own than a M101. Both are out of my league but I love the copy Pete C. won a few years ago. An incredible card.

Extant as well.

I love this card and keep kicking myself for not having bought the one in Chicago maybe 3- four years ago for around 20k

ullmandds 05-20-2017 03:54 PM

I would not Not pay 20 K for that one though

Ha! I prefer to put my money in extant cards, doing anything else seems foolish.

I disagree. Your money seems to last forever if you only go after non-extant cards. But they are really hard to find.

When will the word 'extant' become extinct? When its extensive misuse is extinguished.

Used to come up a lot when the Bruces were extant.

Never heard the word "extant" in my life until I started reading card auction catalogs. The one new vocabulary word I can say that baseball card collecting taught me.
