Most diverse poses one player in Obak series

After I picked up a new 1910 Obak tonight on eBay of James Joseph "Jimmy" Byrnes, it stuck me how unusual it is that he has 3 unique cards in the Obak sets.

He has a catching pose in the 1909 set as a member of the Sacramento PCL team. He has a portrait image in the 1910 set while a member of the Tacoma Tigers NWL team. Lastly, a batting pose is seen in the 1911 Obak set..where his name is incorrectly spelled Burns.

Can anyone think of another player with three different images in the Obak sets?

The 1911 card is Ed Burns, a catcher who played seven seasons in the majors. Not the same player as the other two cards

Obaks across the series

According to my notes, the following players should each have three different poses in the Obak sets:

Coy
Garrett
Mundorff
Raymer
Speas

Also the following three should also have three poses, but there is some question whether they depict the same person:

Brashear
Ryan
Williams

The key is if the player was depicted in both the 1910 and 1911 sets, the poses are exactly the same...EXCEPT if the player switched teams after the the issuance of the 1910 cards, then his 1911 card will depict him with a different pose and designate him with his new team.

The Byrnes/Burns situation is interesting and one that I don't remember hearing about before...Patrick, are you sure this is the same player? (edited to indicate that I see John has verified that Byrnes/Burns are NOT the same player).

If someone hasn't posted any of these images by tomorrow, heck in a handbag I will do it.

Brian (I only have two Obak poses, and both of them are variations of me sitting at the computer typing these very words)

Thanks John!

I checked baseball reference and their picture under Ed Burns' Major League stats matches the player on the 1911 team. Eyes, right ear, nose, and mouth are all dead on matches.

I appreciate the correction and I have updated my website.

Many thanks,

Patrick

No problem Patrick. I actually knew this from matching the stats up on the back to Ed Burn's minor league stats and the only reason I did that is someone selling this card once, claimed it was Sleepy Bill Burns. I knew it wasn't, but also decided to figure out who it was.

Players with 3 different poses in the Obak sets

Ok...I believe the following players are the only ones that have three different poses in the 1909-11 Obak sets. The 1909's are on the left, the 1910's in the middle, and the 1911's on the right.
