Show your Tobacco, Candy, Gum, Bread, etc. advertisement pieces
Circa 1910-1915

It was taboo to depict American women smoking in the early part of the 20th Century. So, ATC produced this subliminal
advertisement showing a gal of middle-Eastern appearance and dress with a pack of cigarettes.
Furthermore, the effect of the repeated (diminishing) image was a clever advertising feature which was novel in that era.

There's not much in the way of Philadelphia Caramel advertisements.

This ad was featured in the May 1910 issue of the Confectioners Journal.
