Posted By: <b>Randy Trierweiler</b><p>I think this is from the 1949 All-Stars Photo Pack listed on page 26 of the 2007 SCD Almanac. I have the Marion, Musial, and Slaughter from this set. The thick auto is similar to the DiMaggio. Mine measure 6.5"x9. The manual says 6 1/4"x9.

Posted By: <b>Jim Clarke</b><p>I agree with everyone that said 1949. I collect many Dimaggio issues from the thirties and have never seen that before. It looks to be from the 40's or 50's. Nice item though. I know it is not any "r" issues. JC

It was taken by an old friend of mine's father who worked for the Cleveland newspaper. This photo is in the hall of fame, and I believe it was taken in 1939 in one of Lou Gehrig's last games. I have a shot of Sweet Lou from the same game and there is a 1939 patch on his shoulder. I will put the kids to bed and see if I can take a decent picture.
