Ebay question regarding their new look

Posted By: Tony Andrea
Guys, Wondering if anyone else has lost certain search options they once had in their saved searches due to Ebays recent over haul. All of my searches transferred over to Ebay's new look fine, but now some of them such as the "Pre 1930" saved section only gives me an option of "ending soonest" where as before it gave me both that option plus an "ending today" option, which is now missing in the drop down. The "ending soonest" option doesn't show all the cards ending today which is why I liked the "ending today" link. I've tried and tried to find a way to get this option back but can't figure it out. Funny thing, some off my other searches still have both these options still available to search through, but the "Pre 1930" section doesn't anymore???
Any idea's???

Tony A.

Ebay question regarding their new look

Posted By: Glenn
My "My ebay" was switched to this new one about 6 months ago, and I still haven't gotten those searches back. I've had to become a little more elaborate to trick the system into returning results that approximate my much simpler old searches.

Posted By: Jim VB
Glenn,

The switch 6 months ago was a test. This new format was in beta testing at that time. Whether you knew it or not, you did have the choice to "opt out" and revert to the old format. This week, the switch was made for everyone. No other options.

Ebay question regarding their new look

Posted By: Tony Andrea
Thanks guys.

I was hoping for, "okay, this is what you do to add it back in", but no such luck it seems. Whats frustrating is why the "ending today" option would be on some other searches such as vintage sports memorabilia, etc but not on the pre 1930 tab, the one I research through the most of course. What used to be 10 pages to skim through daily is now only a few by using the "ending soonest" drop down they offer for auctions ending the same day. I would think there are some cards slipping by us now we used to see.

Tony A.

Ebay question regarding their new look

Posted By: quan
tony it's not that hard. i had the same pre-30s search save so i can see what's starting today and what's ending today, so i could sort it by highest price or soonest ending WITHIN that day. i'm probably giving away valuable secrets to comrades across the land but instead of looking at the "activity" tab go into the "account" tab...there you'll see the more familiar old layout with all your favorites and searches.

that's my contribution to the board this year (so hopefully you won't miss my auctions ending ), no guarantee on my part that it'll work for u...stated, implied, or otherwise. no further assistance from me if it doesn't work for you good luck.

happy new year everyone...bring the BOK CHOY!
