I purchased several vintage type i gelatin silver photographs mounted on board. If anyone can place a time period on any photo attached,

thank you so very much.

Ok look who's back. I liked how you ran off after people exposed your so called Joe Jackson photo and other items. Lol.

I'm curious your thoughts on your pirates photo now that it has been determined it was stolen from the hall of fame.

You referring to me?

All the guy has done here is ask questions about his just old pictures and tries passing them off as photos with famous people. He doesn't come here to actually be part of this forum, just use it for information. Then people question his items and he either replies back with some negative comment/putting down the other persons opinion or he just runs away and hides.

Runscott 10-07-2014 07:48 PM

I'm on your side.

1,3,4 are high school photo's

photo 2 is not a baseball team photo

bigtrain 10-08-2014 07:59 AM

Guys in the second photo have high boots on. They look like they are
going out to deliver milk.

The players in photo 3 appear to be much older than high school. I do really like the sign and trolley car in the background.
Photo 4 may actually be a college photo.

all in all they are worth $50.00 to maybe $125.00 at most for the baseball ones and $25.00 for the non baseball

Sorry bucko but no riches to be had here

The one with the trolley car may be somewhere in the upper Midwest, maybe Minneapolis, as that is where Occident Flour was manufactured.

I am sure he got that from the writing on the back and it is the guards, not prisoners, on the team...is my guess. It's actually a pretty cool photo.

so the guards enlisted Mr Haggerty to play with them.

GoCubsGo32 10-10-2014 09:27 AM

Neat photo.Don't understand how come he didn't post a picture of the back of the photo when he needs/needed help?!

jerseygary 10-10-2014 10:29 AM

Am I crazy in thinking these are milkmen and not prisoners or their guards? I have never seen a prison photo that shows either inmates or guards in white uniforms. Besides, those aint baseball caps they are wearing either. This guy should be a creative writer or something.

bgar3 10-10-2014 12:22 PM

Agree, that it needs a lot more proof it is a baseball team. As has been mentioned, the boots are wrong, hats are wrong, no equipment displayed(unless i am missing something), not really a sports uniform, and even the number is wrong for all but professional teams of the time. (15 "players") not enough for 2 teams, too many for one, when most early photos of baseball teams (non professional), show 10 to 12 at the most. There is a great early photo on ebay of a group of Boston police in front of the station, as much as i wish it were the police baseball team, it is not, or at least there is no evidence of it.

Michael B 10-10-2014 12:36 PM

I would agree that it is definitely not a baseball team. No athlete who needs to run would wear knee high boots. Also the person on the left is wearing overalls. Probably a foreman.

Please also notice the 'vintage' identification. Pure bullcrap. It was probably written several days after he posted the photo here and it was identified as non-baseball. Notice the feathering on the writing. That happens when you write on older paper. It has started to break down and the ink spreads into the paper. Haggerty the baseball player? Maybe it is Dan Haggerty the actor (Grizzly Adams).

Leon, please excuse the language, but this person is a fornicating rectum.

Did Evajoy91 get the boot from ebay? I can't get any links to any of his past or current auctions to work any longer.

Runscott 10-10-2014 05:35 PM

Oh, he's doing just fine on ebay - just the kind of seller they love: Buy on Ebay from EVAJOY91 - a Joe Jackson in every photo
