I've also bought a few packs of Topps Heritage the last few years.<br /><br />I lose interest pretty quickly in the modern sets, mostly because they're too big and tough to complete, I guess.<br /><br />I have bought a few boxes of Topps Turkey Red baseball and think the illustrations are very nice, and probably have very close to a full set at this point.<br /><br />Modern cards are pretty cool. I find absolutely nothing wrong with them whatsoever. Almost every one of us started collecting cards by opening a brand new pack.<br /><br />-Al

Posted By: <b>Joe D.</b><p>well actually my son does (he is 7).<br /><br />I bought him a box of the Topps Allen & Ginter and he put each of the "mini" ones in card saver sleeves.<br />Those are his "vintage" cards and he is proud of them... and happy that he is collecting like daddy is.<br /><br /><br />I love the cards... yep, I said it - I love the Topps Allen & Ginter... because of the father/son bonding they gave me.<br /><br /><br />and I know this isn't bst... but if anyone has a bunch of Topps Allen & Ginter minis - shoot me an email. I won't tell anyone where I got them from. Your secret will be safe with me <img src="/images/happy.gif" height=14 width=14>

What could be done to make these cards more interesting? anything? Is it that you dont like the product they produce or is it that they simply arent old enough to be interesting to collect? For me it most has to do with the latter. What could the card companies of today really do that hasnt been done?

We think they are a terrific design (much like the originals), have some autographs of my favorite players, and it's fun to put the set together. <br /><br />We usually pick up 1 or 2 boxes when we are at the Rosemont show. Whilst there are a cadre of new products availble, the CJs are the best.<br /><br />It would be neat if they did a buyback with original CJ, like Topps did with the T206 series a few years ago.<br />And we feel that if it gets young kids involved in cards, how can that be a bad thing? <br /><br />Josh<br />The Adams Group

Posted By: <b>James Gallo</b><p>I like the 2004 CJ and the Allen and Ginter sets.<br /><br />I completed the Ginter set full size set and have tons of extra cards. It was a pain to complete with a lot of short prints. I also got a ton of doubles even of short prints.<br /><br />I like the Cracker Jack sets as well especially the 2004. I haven't tried hard to complete them but I likely will do the full size base set as well.<br /><br />If anyone needs or has cards to trade LMK.<br /><br /><br />I don't like the Turkey Red set at all. It is HUGE, has continued from last year and has a zillion parallel cards. Too much.<br /><br />I think the 2004 CJ which have the same format as the 1914/1915 are nice and I am sorry they didn't continue the CJ set in 2006.<br /><br /><br />James G <br><br>Looking for 1915 Cracker Jacks and 1909-11 American Caramel E90-1.
