Old Mill Brown back?
 

Posted By: <b>Joe D.</b><p>Does anyone have a good way to determine if an Old Mill Southern is a brown back or the regular black back?<br /><br />I had a couple that looked brown as compared to a couple that looked black (now in the hands of SGC with a bunch of cards getting graded) and, I just picked up a card at a local card show because I thought it might be a brown back.<br /><br />From what I read elsewhere, Old Mill brown back looks like a faded black back?<br /><br />Any tips on being able to spot one (for a non-grader like myself) would be appreciated.<br /><br />Thanks,<br />Joe<br /><br />

The brown is very distinct.<br /><br />Jay<br><br>I like to sit outside, drink beer and yell at people. If I did this at home, I would be arrested. So, I go to baseball games and fit right in.

Posted By: <b>Joe D.</b><p>I've seen some scans, but I still can't tell the difference.<br /><br />Nothing that really says 'oh-yeah that is a brown back'<br /><br />I guess I have to see one in person (which might be bad news for my hopes that a couple of my Old Mills submitted to SGC are brown backs).<br /><br /><br /><br />
