Help with pennant

About how old is this pennant and about what is it worth. I don't collect these but found it in an antique shop. It is about 33" long. Thanks D.

Here is another picture any idea of how old this pennant is? Thanks D.

terrific piece. My best guess would be the early 20s based on the felt and size. Value is a mystery to me. I only collect baseball. I'm guessing here, but perhaps $300-$500 because it has stunning graphics and size.

UCLA pennant

Very nice pennant. UCLA changed their nickname to the Bruins in 1928, if that helps. I am pretty sure I saw this same style pennant in a stack of pennants at the Philly Show this weekend, and the guy was asking $70...man, I guess I should have snagged it. :)

Joe, My price was a complete guess. If an expert on these said it is a $100 pennant I wouldn't be shocked.

Anyone have a good idea of year? Any U.C.L.A. fans have any idea? Thanks D.

I've seen a LOT of pennants over the years, and can't say with absolute certainty... But I would estimate late 1940s for this one, and a value between $60 - $75.

College stuff just doesn't ralize the prices it should... these pennants are always valued far lower than professional ones. I have countless times, seen gorgeous oversized examples from the teens sell for under $100 (and in near-perfect condition).

Regardless, yours is a beautiful example, and the artisrty of the Bruin is striking, to say the least.

Hope this helps,
Mark

Editing to ask.... Does the 33" length include the tassels, or is that the length of the pennant itself? If the body of the pennant is 33", then it's worth close to $100. If it's a standard 29" pennant (which it looks like in the photo), it's worth $60 - $75. Thanks!

It is 29" like I said earlier I don't collect pennants and bought this one for $15.00. If there is a U.C.L.A. fan out there who would like to have it email me.I will make you a good deal. Thanks Mark! broughman@comcast.net
