PSA Piggybacking SPRING 2019 is ON!!!! Cards and Tickets!! LOGGED IN!! POPPED!!

I know we have our huge order outstanding, but I am accumalating wayyyyyyyyy too many raw cards. And if it is gonna take 4+ months just to get cards returned, I figured I would send them another batch in the meantime. Any interest in piggybacking on another group order??

Thromdog 02-11-2019 10:52 AM

hahah

of course.....

sterlingfox 02-11-2019 11:38 AM

Yes!!

let me count how many I have tonight.....and get a running count.

bobbyw8469 02-11-2019 12:43 PM

I'm also open to tickets, but the cheapest I am seeing is $20 per ticket.......I have some I would like to get graded.

bobbyw8469 02-11-2019 12:44 PM

PPS - I also noticed that the bulk grading service is 85 business days!!!! Holy smokes!!!!!

GoCubsGo32 02-11-2019 01:07 PM

If you're doing it again... I have to get in on this one...let us know please. Thanks!

ToddW. 02-11-2019 01:35 PM

I would be interested. Having never done it before could you provide quick details of what we would need to do/costs? I have probably 20+

bobbyw8469 02-11-2019 02:04 PM

Well...the cost of grading is $8 per card for the bulk price.....and it would be an extra $1 to cover shipping to AND from California. You would include a piece of paper with the names and variations of the cards you are wanting graded....your net54 handle (so I can know who to message) and your return shipping address.

whitey19thcentury 02-11-2019 02:08 PM

I got about (16) 1967 Topps Venezuelan singles I need graded. So, I am in. Also, does PSA still grade matchbook issues? If so, can one include them in the bulk?

I'm not familiar with the issue. Maybe someone else can chime in. These need to be standard size or smaller. No pins or coins. And the value can not exceed $100 per card.

swarmee 02-11-2019 03:41 PM

I'll be in for somewhere between 10-30 depending on the deadline. Glad you're willing to do it again.
I have a bulk order at PSA right now that is at 99 business days, submitted just under the deadline to get the $7/card rate. That's one main reason there was a glut of submissions. My previous bulk order was done in about 50 business days, so this is just evening it out.

PSA definitely grades matchbooks, and they should fit in tallboy holders, not oversized, so they should be okay.

Topps Venezuelan issues look exactly like that year's regular issue, but the backs are different and are in Spanish.

Honestly...it says 85 business days....but someone else said they are on 100 with no poppage......so I'm thinking maybe 4-4 1/2 months.

bobbyw8469 02-12-2019 09:55 AM

OK!!!! It's ON!!!!!

Robert Williams
PO Box 61362

Include a slip of paper with the cards (if they are new shit with 1,001 different variations, you NEED to be precise. Sorry, my knowledge stops at 1970), your values, your Net54 handle (how else am I gonna contact you), and your return shipping. You can include a check or venmo or paypal gift or whatever....Zelle....I got it all. $9 per card ($8 per card for grading $1 per card to cover shipping to and from Cali)

That's it!!!!!!!!

whitey19thcentury 02-12-2019 02:11 PM

When do you need the cards by?

tjb1952tjb 02-12-2019 06:16 PM

I'll have a few to send (6-10). Thanks again Bobby.

Bulk orders have no deadlines, but if I don't set one, I will be waiting on stragglers FOREVER!!!! So, let's say March 1st.

That's the beauty of a bulk order. There is no year stipulation. There is a SIZE stipulation and a VALUE stipulation....that's it.

BruceinGa 02-13-2019 02:45 PM

Sorry, not this time. I just gave my son 27 cards last night to piggyback on his submission.

cubman1941 02-13-2019 05:38 PM

I should have another 8-10 and hopefully will get them in the mail this week.

JollyElm 02-14-2019 12:06 AM

Anyone remember that thread (probably in the post-war section) that talked about lesser-known, low poppage (so many people understandably hate that word ) cards from the 50's through 70's?? Random cards that are ridiculously hard to find centered/focused/whatever and having them in a PSA 8 or 9 would be incredible?? I'd love to peruse that thread again and see if I have anything.

RCMcKenzie 02-14-2019 12:29 AM

Bob, I have some football cards I want to send. I'll send you a pm. Rob

Tickets are $20....that is the cheapest I saw on their site. Plus the buck each to and from Cali for shipping.

crose 02-14-2019 09:20 AM

Bobby, I have some I’d like to send. Thanks for running this again.

Bobby,

Please let me know when/if you got my PM and funds. Neither show up at this time in my Sent PM nor my transfer account. I put 12 cards in the mail yesterday.

Thanks for doing this again.

Bobby,

The last time the deals were:

"Special #1 - Cards valued over $100 but under $500. $17 per card. 10 card Minimum. I only have 2. I'm looking for 8 more. These are for higher valued cards, but not too high. I can give references.

Special #2 - Bulk $7 per card. No age limit. Must be standard or tall boys (no T3's). To get the special, we need 100 cards. I have 50 myself. So looking a few others."

So, only special #2 (and tickets) is happening this go round but at $8 a card? Is there a value limit on the card submitted?

Thank you.

pclpads 02-16-2019 02:14 PM

?

Are '53 Redman w/tab included at the $8 bulk rate, or are they considered supersize?

1880nonsports 02-16-2019 03:16 PM

Tx Bobby

I have between 4 and 10 cards. Waiting for one in mail and then will forward with my cash.
friendly,
henry moses

Yes, plus the additional $1 for shipping. PSA raised their prices back in August on bulk orders. As to the Red Man question, only if they fit in Tallboy holders.

bobbyw8469 02-18-2019 04:31 AM

These are the sizes. The cards CAN NOT EXCEED TALL BOY!!!!!

Standard - 2 11/16" x 3 13/16"
Tall Boy - 3 1/2" x 5 1/6"

bobbyw8469 02-20-2019 06:21 AM

Trickling in!!!

bobbyw8469 02-20-2019 07:15 PM

I need to call PSA about what to do with cards slightly taller than "tall boy" size.

swarmee 02-20-2019 07:32 PM

Hmmm, I just submitted mine (1947-66 Exhibits) on my Oversized renewal submission.
I listed 11 so far, but I just sent a group home from COMC so I'll probably have around 30-40 total.

I'm guessing the larger size needs to be on their own thing. I have a Holiday Inn Mantle card I want to sub as well as some 1964 Topps Giants (those are SLIGHTLY taller than the website states)....does those need to be by themselves?

crose 02-21-2019 09:25 AM

You can always try to submit them under this order and let PSA put the order on hold and break them off if they don't allow them. But you're safer submitting on an oversized ($20/card) separate submission. That way it doesn't hold the rest of the order up. Have you already used your Platinum membership freebie?

There are actually two types of Venezuelan cards:

One, just like the same years' Topps issue (see 1962 below)

and one described as Venezuelan Topps (see 1967 card below)

I have seen graded cards of each version.

The 1967 set includes players from the Venezuelan set, retired players, and cards of major leaguers that look exactly like 1967 Topps cards on the front, but with different backs.

I am traveling and don't have the time to post images, but an online search or search of eBay will show the different cards in the 1967 set.

After reading your post, I checked the Standard Catalog of Vintage Baseball Cards and it has the 1967 card I posted listed as '1967 Venezuelan League' - the cards are smaller than standard.

Thanks for sharing
