Based on their history I don't know how much we can trust them, but there is some fantastic stuff here.

Officially in auction overload.

WOW, now we've seen it all, 1989 Donruss cards (in PSA 10 holders) listed in individual lots in a major auction..............

dibs!

When they hosed Ryan a few years ago, I publicly stated that I would never bid with them until they made it right. They didn't make it right and I haven't bid. Stuff doesn't always have to trump all else.

Lot of amazing cards in there. It's fun seeing a Clemente / Aaron rookie in a 10.

calvindog 04-23-2012 08:35 PM

Very sharp cards.

The memorabilia is sharp as well.

Why

Why is Dmitri Young selling all his cards? Dude has to still be rich right? Seems like a smart guy, etc.

I'm sure divorce doesn't help.

Hey, 1989 is considered the Rolls Royce of 1988-91 Donruss sets.

As several present and former Net54 posters can attest to.....

My belief is that is if something is only worth something when it's graded, then it isn't worth anything.

Kenny, would you mind telling us more about what happened to Ryan? For those of us who have never bid on an SCP auction but were thinking about doing so this time around, it would be helpful to know what you are referring to. Thanks.

Yep! In a laboratory back east, someone is very hard at work.

drc 04-24-2012 11:41 AM

He has an impressive collection of PSA10 rookie cards, there's no questioning that. The Clemente must have cost a lot.

where the gold at? 04-24-2012 12:40 PM

lot# 752 and 754

both ruth candy warppers are fake.......im not sure why people always fall for that wrapper trick. but it happens, there are no fold lines where the chocolate would have been inside of wrapper. thus not a real one.
just my two cents
