I hope to see you there.

FYI, asked to be approved via eBay to bid on line last week and so far no response. And another board member told me same situation for him.

Hi Steve, I apologize for the delay as I was unable to see a small pool of Ebay bidders pending approval until today. I contacted the host company and was able to approve all bidders who were in the cue. Thank You

Troy

Have you emailed the auction house? They are generally very responsive.

Thanks. Very cool auction. Amazing mix of sports and celebrity stuff. Joe Franklin was a hero growing up so really nice to see his stuff finding a new home.

Chris - I like you and think you are a great person to have on the board, but honestly, I want to reach through the computer screen and choke you every time you type the make-believe word "bidded". Doesn't the spell check on you computer notify you EVERY time that "bidded" is not a word?

FYI, the past tense of "bid" is....get this..."bid"! Thank you, my rant is done.

Otherwise, I agree with you. Strong prices for some of the lots I was watching.

pawpawdiv9 01-04-2018 01:28 PM

Sorry,
I do not have spell-check, when I type apparently.
Plus, I did not realize until now, I was typing it wrong.
I was always a failure at reading, vocabulary and speech.

Snapolit1 01-04-2018 01:38 PM

Every time I bid on something at Saco it doesn't go well for one reason or another. Placed a bid for an item I really wanted and got two emails from eBay saying it ended at 6PST on January 4. Put that one my calendar. I guess I won't be winning it, as it ended on January 3.

I was at the auction---strong prices---I won a few things---wish I would have gone stronger on the Ted Williams letters---those were very unique--I believe the highest one went around 2K---most of the others $300-$450--

Had a great time at the auction. Won a few things. I heard they will be having another auction in March with a selection of pre war including coupons, high grade t202 hofers, Mello mints, t206, e121, e95, and a few goudey Ruths. Looking forward to the sale.

Same here. I was never informed when I was outbid. Only after the auction ended....

slidekellyslide 01-05-2018 09:44 PM

Interestingly enough I was also notified that the auction was on the 4th and was sure that was wrong so I checked the ebay listings I had in my watch list and they all said the 3rd. I got outbid on the Jack Palance robe, but did get lucky enough to win the Brady Bunch sun dress.
