Open for Bidding - LOTG Spring Premier Auction

Hi everyone:

Just a quick note to let you know that the Love of the Game Spring Premier auction is open for bidding. Closing date is April 29.

There are a lot of great pieces in this auction to point out here, but as a prewar board, I'll point out a great assortment of 19th Century material, highlighted by the highest-graded N172 Hoss Radbourn "Space between hands & belt" pose, a stunning PSA 7.5: https://bid.loveofthegameauctions.co...e?itemid=30142

One of my personal favorites is this incredible 1896 Betz Studios Baltimore Orioles Team photo: https://bid.loveofthegameauctions.co...e?itemid=31103

There are a number of Shoeless Joe Jackson Type 1 photos on the auction block right now, but I'm crazy about this beauty, from 1917: https://bid.loveofthegameauctions.co...e?itemid=30893

We've got a massive assortment of signed vintage cards, including more than 350 signed 1952 Topps, more than 150 1953 Topps, and a nearly-complete 1958 Topps set. The big ones, of course, are a beautiful , and what we believe is the finest signed 1952 Mantle - a gorgeous PSA 3 with a PSA 10 ballpoint signature.

I think we've put together an auction filled with interesting things you don't see every day, which is what we hope collectors look forward to from us.

To view the entire auction, if you're so inclined, visit here: https://bid.loveofthegameauctions.com/Lots/Gallery

Thanks, and good luck!

It’s good to see a few Richmond T209 hit the market. None I need but always good to see the fellas! Amazing auction Al!

I'm always excited to see what magnificent treasures LOTG brings! I have some of my bids in and will spend the later hours tonight checking out more that will get bids. The 19th century items are absolutely precious. The items from the memorabilia sections are some of the most interesting I've ever seen offered. Great auction, Al, ole buddy. Barry

Really impressive auction, Al. I'll be bidding on a bunch of stuff!

Outstanding as usual Al, congrats. And as a grammar Nazi I thank you for using the term "more rare" instead of "rarer" in your descriptions.

Pretty sure the Oxford Dictionary identifies "rarer" as the preferred comparative for "rare". Just sayin'.

You may be right but it's always sounded strange to my ear using rarer.

How do you want your steak?

Rarer or more rare?

I’ve always thought Al picked a great name for his auction house, but he might have to change it in the future to…. “Another Fantastic Auction “…..

Congrats on an amazing auction that has something in it for everyone.

Be well Brian

I like my steak to be the rarest of all.

Ha! Anytime I say "rarer" I find myself dropping into my best "Scooby Doo" voice and it always comes out: "Rawer!?!"
