Posted By: Julie
something a high grade? Otherwise, it looks a good deal nicer than MY T206 Speaker, which has rounded corners and is centered very low (I call it vg-ex).

Posted By: Mike Ward
It looks like there is chipping along the bottom edge (= paper loss?). Once in a while you get these type of cards that look pretty good and they assign the grade based on one specific term\word in their definition and not an overall assessment of the various factors. Not that it shouldn't be that way (i.e. if the shoe fits) but this doesn't have the characteristics of what you think is a "1".

Posted By: Mike Ward
"Poor to Fair A PSA PR-FR 1 card's corners will show extreme wear, possibly affecting framing of picture. Surface of card will show advanced stages of wear, including scuffing, scratching, pitting, chipping and staining." Operative word is chipping.

Posted By: petecld
Look at the back of the card - the perimeter of the card has a darker coloring than the center area. Someone might have tried to clean the back - thus the grade.

Posted By: slacks
If the back is like the front, it's undergraded -- based on seeing a whole lot of PSA graded T206's, no matter what the book definition of grades says.

I kind of like it that the seller is starting high with a beefy BIN. Isn't that we all preach: BTCNTH?

Posted By: John(z28jd)
I have a few T206 southern leaguers graded PSA2,all bought from the same person who had them graded and the cards look like 4's,some look as nice as 5's until you see them from an angle, which is hard to do with a scan. The cards all have some bending like they got damp at one point then dried out.I think theyre all graded properly but they all have better looks to them aka eye appeal

Posted By: Mrc32
I saw that one as well. My guess is that there is some clear glue residue on the back. I have bought raw T's that have a clear type of glue on the back and you can only see it upon close examination.

Just my guess.

Posted By: Brett
If someone truly believed that they got the shaft from the grading company: wouldn't they just rip the card out of the case and resubmit it for grading and hope for a better grade?

Posted By: slacks
Maybe the seller doesn't want to join PSA ($99) and submit one card ($20+) -- he/she is hoping to find a buyer who believes it's undergraded.
