memory Lane Spring Rarity Auction

Digital Catalog is making its way out. No words other than Incredible!!!
disclosure- I am not consignor, nor affiliated. Just a collector

1954 topps 03-28-2024 02:38 PM

Fully agree, this is one of the best auctions in recent memory.

vintagerookies51 03-28-2024 02:46 PM

I haven't seen anything yet. Is it on their website somewhere that I'm missing?

Looks like Ryans Flickr page.

Incredible cards and good luck to Ryan and any Net54 bidders, some true gems in there.

cgjackson222 03-28-2024 03:23 PM

Damn! 1914 Cracker Jack set break AND General Baking near set breaks in the same auction.

Good luck to all Net54 consigners and bidders.

They always have great items in there auction and this one definitely raises the bar.

jsfriedm 03-28-2024 06:16 PM

Amazing auction...not for T205 collectors though.

Holy Shit what an auction!!...it's depressing when you see cards you used to own with a starting $10,000 bid...oh well, I'll be smart in the next life...Jerry

iwantitiwinit 03-29-2024 06:56 AM

Whoa. I clearly don't have enough money.

Vintage baseball card collecting becomes more and more a spectator sport…

ullmandds 03-29-2024 09:45 AM

Lots of familiar looking ruth cards on there!!

Do you mean relists from their previous Ruth extravaganza auction?

Either way, it is a very impressive offering and might be the best I have seen in a few years. Amazing they could acquire that much amazing material with all the competition out there.

Which Ruths are from their last Ruth auction?

Ok. Thanks for the clarification. Glad I asked.

Donscards 03-29-2024 07:48 PM

Wow. What a outstanding auction. Crackerjack heaven. I can’t wait until auction opens. Tremendous Babe Ruth’s too. Congrats to Memory Lane for getting these consignments.

kmac32 03-29-2024 08:05 PM

Incredible auction

bigfish 03-31-2024 05:03 AM

Wow

A tremendous offering….

jp1216 03-31-2024 06:02 AM

528 pages. I see the search option on top but can't get it to work. I've tried 3 web browsers. Anyone else?

toothcutter 03-31-2024 06:47 AM

What a great auction.

Two options that I’ve found, neither of which is particularly satisfying:

1) Manually search all 500+ pages. Takes time, but is good fun.
2) Wait until the online auction opens. Much easier, although also difficult because it requires patience.

Download and open this PDF with Acrobat Reader or some other PDF viewer. You can control-f search at that point.

Winner! Thanks!

YankeeCollector 04-01-2024 07:52 AM

What an amazing auction! And Joe T’s writeups are in a league of their own.
Joe T is heart and soul of ML.

MattyC 04-01-2024 08:02 AM

I agree on both counts-- the auction's depth and breadth is not often seen, and Joe's passion for the hobby is palpable. Talking to him about cards is one of the most fun aspects of the hobby, for this collector.

Just hope some will remember all this praise if a PSA 1 card in this four-trillion lot auction was not described in granular detail, or if its scan failed to pick up every wrinkle ;)

Memory Lane Spring Auction

I truly appreciate all the kind words, and yes, Memory Lane is very excited about the upcoming blockbuster spring auction. A special thanks to all of our devoted consignors, and please keep in mind, I am just one cog of a very well-oiled machine. It is the entire dedicated staff at Memory Lane that is the backbone of our success, and we look forward to continue providing the collecting community with an abundance of world-class offerings.

Sincerely,
Joe

Great offerings in the catalog!!

Looks like the SGC CJs were reholdered from the old SGC style at some point in the past year

Also the T206 SLers that only had T206 with no back designation were reholdered by PSA with the back designation on the front flip now
Here is Oldring in the new SGC holder and in the old SGC holder

The Detroit Collector 04-01-2024 05:03 PM

I just got the catalog sent to my email. Lord have Mercy.

FYI, the search function on the Memory Lane ZMAGS catalog has been fixed & is now working without any blips.

pawpawdiv9 04-03-2024 10:28 AM

All I see it ends May 4th
I am able to click on the pics and takes it to

It’s beyond me to try and figure out how people are coming up with the kind of money to place these insane bids on just day 1 of this auction. The economy is supposedly in the tank and cost of essentials certainly hasn’t come back down at all after the crazy inflation over the past few years. Where do people come up with this kind of money?

I NEED SOME!!!

Big talking point but I am not seeing it. Especially in the bigger auctions.

mrreality68 04-11-2024 01:53 PM

So Many Great and Rare Items

and Day 1 has seen a strong start on many of the items

Good Luck Ryan

frohme 04-11-2024 02:01 PM

My wallet is happy and I'm only somewhat surprised that with the breadth and quality of both the Memory Lane and Mile High auctions that neither has a single T207 and there is only a sprinkling of T205s to be found in the former.

There are times that collecting what's seemingly becoming a second-class set has its benefits

Kidnapped18 04-11-2024 02:42 PM

100+ bids just entered $50k+ already outbid on 30+ and this is just Day 1
Will be lucky to win a handful!! LOL!! :D
