Yogi Berra and the Presidential Medal of Freedom
 

Just wanted to let the Net 54 members know that a petition is up on the Major League Baseball website to award Yogi Berra the Presidential Medal of Freedom. This petition must get 100,000 signatures by June 8, 2015 for the motion to move to the next step. I personally voted for him and think he deserves it.

I was behind a very heated argument with Keith Law on twitter this Wednesday over this issue. I know Law is academically smart Harvard and MBA at Carnegie Mellon but he clearly lacks in other areas.

Especially after Berra lost a lot of memorabilia including his World Series rings to the robbery he deserves something like this.

I think this is a no-brainer and i don't even see why a petition is neccessary

Passed on to the gang in OBC......Yogi is bound to pick up a bunch of votes there.
