Did I read the description right? For sit actually say the autograph is fake in the description?

The seller lost me when they listed GAI as a legit business.

It's poorly written and unclear, but the seller is stating that items NOT certed by PSA are fake. Then he goes on to list failed quick opinions if other items to apparently prove everything else is fake except for his item.

It should have read. If authenticated by GAI it is a fake.

seller is shady and noobs might get confused...but if it's psa/dna certified it'd say so on the flip.

If I understand correctly. the card is graded A due to the marker all over the front.

I know why it's graded authentic, I've even had to explain on another board why it is. My thought is that PSA reserves the right to refuse to grade a card, do they not? There would be only one reason why a submitter would send this card in and that's to catch a sucker down the line.

So you are saying the signature is bad and the "authentic" on the card is in reference to the card itself?

If so, that is pretty deceptive and a practice that should be stopped or clarified. I consider myself relatively educated in collectibles (but not cards specifically) and that would have slipped by me.

I think that's what is going on. The card is authentic but the signature is not. As pointed out, PSA/DNA holders are blue. The red borders are just for cards. This is a serious loophole that PSA should close. Collectors will get confused.

Not entirely true. There are red labels used when the autograph AND card are being graded.

Often the red label is more highly sought after because it authenticates the card.

This is problematic when an uneducated buyer sees red PSA label and thinks both card and sig are authenticated.

I don't believe they would slab a jordan auto card, based on the card only. Certain athletes, like Jordan, all get checked to see if the autograph is authentic before grading/slabbing them.
