Ebay Seller? petruccoscollectables

Pretty sure this seller has been bidding on this Ticket and not getting the results he wants so he keeps re-listing it.

Oct 21 2018:

At least the 3rd time now he's had an auction for it, no reserve mind you, and then relists it. This time however its Buy It Now, as opposed to the last 2 were auctions. I find it hard to believe two deadbeat bidders in a row. And he waited 3 months, hoping for better results I assume.

Anyone familiar with him, and if he is doing it for this item, he might as well be doing it for his other items.

Don't want to throw stones at him just yet, but definitely seems to be some funny business going on.

Now the 4th and 5th time its been listed, and on the 4th it sold again which makes this so weird.

Wonder if its being returned or what?

Sold on March 3 2019:

Relisted on 4/3/19:

Most likely because he went at it with a pair of scissors. Not sure I’d call that gorgeous condition.

And tape on the back. I’m not sure about tickets but in card collecting we call that poor.

same exact Ticket sold again today, has to be about the 6th time they have sold it, have to assume people are returning it at this point. Or I have no idea, why the same ticket would be sold every couple months by the same seller.

Might be fake?

Have you asked the seller why?

Just asked, I'll let you know the reply.

Sellers reply:

"its 100% authentic. the first time it sold to a museum and they returned it cause they found a graded nicer one for money money. this time the guy said he bought it for his brother and his brother died. i am not making this stuff up!!"

Shoeless Moe 07-25-2019 04:21 PM

I'd like to believe the seller, but he only gave 2 returns and I know for a fact there have been at least 6 now.

That's just too many for one item w/o there being an issue with the item itself.

Just be careful if you are in the market for a Called Shot Ticket. They pop up often enough that you should more then likely pass on this one and wait for another.

The ticket is real but trimmed on both the top and bottom. I have handled quite a few 1932 cubs World Series Tickets in the past 20 years.

I completely independently looked at this sale today and right away thought it was trimmed. I did a quick google search of the seller and got linked to this forum showing the exact same item.

100000% this is trimmed. If the seller did it, they should be kicked off of eBay for not disclosing it.
