Vintage bat question

Posted By: Alan Elefson
Hi-
Scanned below is a bat with a handle of almost the same thickness as the rest of the bat. I recently acquired it in a lot of bats and I was trying to determine an approximate age. There is a faint oval label (black oval) where a label might be, but the lettering has faded away. Would anyone be able to provide an approximate year range based on the pictures below? I should be able to take better picutres later this week if these are not good enough. My initial thought was that this bat is from the turn of the century (or possibly earlier) because of its weight and odd construct, but I would really appreciate any help this board might be able to provide.
Thanks in advance,
Alan Elefson
aelefson@hotmail.com

Vintage bat question

Posted By: Alan Elefson
Hi-
Thanks John and Matt! I doubt these will help, but I did manage to take some (hopefully) better photos of the bat. There is definitely some sort of label in the center (the black oval reminds me of H&B), but I think the wording is too far gone to ever read. Does anyone have a bat of similar construct with a black oval label similar to H&B's?
Thanks in advance,
Alan Elefson
aelefson@hotmail.com
