In 1953 Jackie served as editor for Our Sports magazine. While it ran for only five issues it was not just some puff mag. It asked questions like willthere be a black manager and are the Yankees ever going to play a black player. This was big controversial stuff and this was when Jackie was an active player. Can you even imagine that today. The only parallel today would be if there was an active out gay player and mid career they put out a magazine wondering when the Tigers will accept a gay player. Amazing and overlooked
