Number of Items - Error?
 

Right now from

http://www.grandslambids.com/index.php

using the "Categories" pulldown it shows "Memorabilia (11)"

Clicking on ""Memorabilia (11)"" brings you here:

http://www.grandslambids.com/categor...parent_id=1866

Where on the left it lists:

Totaling 11

But on the page there are only 10 items shown.

Clicking Subcategory "Publications (1)" yields this page

which says "There are no items in this section"

On the left it lists:

Clicking Subcategory "Programs (1)" yields this page

http://www.grandslambids.com/categor...parent_id=1893

which says "There are no items in this section"



So it appears either soemthing is being miscounted or there is a publication that for some reason deosn't show up in the listings.

Or I broke the site and it's my all fault! :eek:

A few clarifications:
The math may not always work because a single item could be listed in two different categories.

The counters do periodically get a bit out of whack (e.g. an item ends but the category counter isn't updated) but there is a process run regularly that recounts everything and updates the counters to the correct totals.

I thought the totals might not add up due to an item being listed in multiple categories, but was surprised to not find anything when following the publications link.

I see that now it doesn't show a count for publications.


This is quite an endeavor that you guys are undertaking and hopefully will be well received, and successful for users and yourselves.
