1909 German Stamps ID

Won these in an auction here on BST and I’m utterly unfamiliar with the issue. Davis was easy enough to figure out, and it seems like the one with no name showing is Al Bridwell (I matched up the image — guessing the name did not transfer onto the paper). The third I have been unable to identify. It’s clearly New York as the NY is visible on the jersey and “Ne Yo” is visible in the transfer, but the name doesn’t seem to line up with anything I see on the checklist. The “NNON” visible would seem to suggest only Shannon from the checklist, but Shannon was on Boston and the top seems to show “SAN” or “SAM” with no H after the S.

Any thoughts?

Shannon. Played for Boston, but maker of these stamps messed up. Here’s my example (w/ Hoblitzell):

Thank you!!! I’ve actually seen that it may be Spike Shannon, who played for NY. I had a feeling that might have been who this was, but I couldn’t find a picture of the New York Shannon to confirm. Much appreciated!

I think you may be right. What's weird is that Spike Shannon last played for the New York Giants in 1908 but finished his career with the Pirates later that season (after being claimed off waivers). Does this mean that the 1909 date for this issue may be a little off? He did have a very good season in 1907 playing for the Giants (leading the league in runs scored, plate appearances, and at bats).

If it's the other Shannon, the date is off anyway because he played in 1915. I read somewhere (forgot which site) that Spike just makes more sense given that the other Shannon was never very good and played one season, a handful of at bats, 6 years after the supposed release of these.
