Does anyone recognize this person- possible rose bowl connection
 

Does anyone recognize the person on the plaque? Supposedly has some ties to the rose bowl , but it's not identified in anyway .. Could be a famous - might not be .. Any help appreciated

Could it be Knute Rockne? I rotated this image to better line up with yours, btw. There is some resemblance, although Notre Dame only played in the Rose Bowl once, in 1925...

Thanks for the input and the rotated image. I wish it was Rockne, but the noses don't look alike .

Just an FYI, I swear I've heard of a online tool that can "search" for similar images based on one you upload, it might even be something Google can do. Might help you.

I think it may be Tom Harmon, U of Mich, running back. Won Heisman in 1940.

Just a crazy guess... Father Flanagan of Boys Town ???

I still say Tommy Harmon. Not only did he play in the Rose Bowl, He was the color commentator for the first NBC televised coverage of the Rose Bowl.
