1968 VZ Bench on Goldin???

I responded on the Goldin announcement from Leon, but perhaps this deserves its own thread. I believe we have seen this card questioned on eBay before, but this is NOT a 68 Venezuela Topps... unless I am seriously missing something? It should read Hecho En Venezuela and the entire card stock should look different! This looks like a mislabeled card by PSA that could be quite costly for an unsuspecting buyer....

I did send an email to Goldin letting them know that this appears to be an incorrectly labeled card by PSA.

We are aware of the situation, and the card already arrived at PSA today so that they can review and remedy the situation. If the card was labeled incorrectly by PSA the item will be pulled.
thank you

You are not able to distinguish the difference between a standard Topps Bench RC from a Venezuelan Topps?

I suspect the word remedy was the key to that sentence.

I suspect the word "if" in the last sentence was the key to show me they can't make the determination on their own. The lot should be pulled immediately - do we really need PSA to confirm their mislabel/error? It isn't like there is any doubt in this situation.

The card has been withdrawn and PSA has confirmed their error.
Since this auction did not end for three weeks, out of fairness to our consignor , we felt it best to be cautious and prudent and have PSA confirm the error prior to withdrawing the card. Whether it is pulled 21 days prior to auction or 23 days prior to auction didn’t seem to matter, getting the 100% correct answer and making sure our consingor was covered was the right answer.

I wonder if PSA just made a processing error, or if someone tried to sneak one past them by mislabeling it and putting it in with other Venezuelans.
