Sounds like a great partnership! An AH that seems to specialize in unique postcards with a new Consignment Director with a similar passion and expertise. A perfect match IMO. Good luck Jeff and Al!

He will surely elevate LOTG auctions with his knowledge and integrity. Look forward to the LOTG future!

Congrats Jeff!

And a question....

There are currently no auction houses based in the NW. If there were, I personally would consign much more often. It’s the pain of careful packing and high cost of secure shipping that deter me from consigning more.

Will there be any type of potential arrangement in which consignments can be brought to you locally, vs. packing/shipping across the country? Is there a way that such consignments could be photographed, written-up and shipped out to winning bidders from right here in Seattle?

If so, it would certainly be a blessing for me and fellow collectors in the PNW.

Thanks!

Thanks all for the kind words. I'm very excited for everyone to see how the auction will continue to evolve and the quality of material we'll be offering.

I'd be happy to make arrangements with my fellow local collectors for me to come directly to you to pick up items. We could discuss all the other logistical things that are important to you as well and chat about cards over coffee. Al's treat. :D

Let me guess, I’m SOL in ND as usual??

Congrats to both you and lOTG. :)

Ben, I was in ND two weeks ago on a consignment trip!

Spent a night in Bismarck and an afternoon in Fargo.

Anyone interested in a visit ANYWHERE (not just the Northwest), I do cross-country road trips on a regular basis, at least one or two a year to various parts of the country. If you've got material that you'd like to consign, please reach out and let me know - I build these trips around multiple visits most of the time, and if you've got material that's too bulky or too expensive to ship, I can drop by and pick it up.

Also, feel free to follow LOTG on Facebook, where I post a lot from the road - a lot of times I'll get a call or email WHILE I'm on the road, and I'll take a little detour and pick up your consignment, or if the timing works, just have dinner (ask Leon).

I have loved watching LOTG evolve over the years. Jeff seems like a natural and great addition to the team. Just got my glossy catalog for the latest auction this evening.

Congrats!

Ethan

Prizner? Really?? Does that mean I have to call him "Mister Nipplenose" from now on?

J/K; a good man for a good AH.

It's been fun to watch Al's well-deserved rise to the top of the hobby, and this collaboration looks like a perfect match. Congratulations to you both!

Pacific Northwest connection is a good deal. Seattle is the fast growing big city in the US.
