19th century piece, opinions please
My picker buddy brought me this today. Its not a Harper's..is it a newspaper premium? Drawn by Thulstrup, game at Polo Grounds, Aug 6 1885. Any opinions?

August 22nd 1885 Harper's.. If you take it out of the mat, the issue and page information should be to the left. Beautiful Piece.

Yes, that is a Harpers woodcut that has been hand colored. Beautuiful piece. Do you know what he had to give for it, or what he is asking?

Agree on that being a great buy. Here are a couple of shots of mine -- it has the same hand coloring.

These are great pieces...thanks for sharing! These woodcuts are very underrated imo and as a result can be purchased at very reasonable prices. I have a majority of the Harper's weekly but very limited ones that are colored. Here's my favorite.

Great piece Keith...you don't see the colored woodcuts too often...at $50, I'd think he did well.
