koesters bread card or kerr's candy card

Posted By: Darrell
I have 1921 koesters bread cards????.All are ny americans or ny nationals.most likely world series set.My granddad told me they were from Kerr's butterscotch candy's that came in a box.I have called Kerr's and they can not comferm or deny ever putting any cards in their products. They did tell me that they sold butterscotch candy in a box that was 2 1/2 x 4 inches in 1921.the cards fit.Maybe Koester and Kerr's worked together. They both were in new york and baltimore back in the 20's.Pop was from Baltimore and was sure they came from Kerr's.If there Kerr's are they rarer,or does it matter.Any help would be helpfull.

Posted By: Paul
I believe the cards have always been associated with Koester's because an album containing the cards and identifying Koester's has been found. If they were also issued by Kerr's, that would be an interesting piece of history, and a valuable contribution to the knowledge of the hobby. But unless there is some physical difference between the Koester's and Kerr's cards, there would be no difference in value for the simple reason that you couldn't prove which variety you have.
