Nine cards from the uncut sheet of 27 cards in the magazine. The cards in color are the images from the 1954 TOPPS set.
The B/W images denote the cards not issued in the 1954 TOPPS set.

TRIVIA QUIZ....for those of you who are familiar with this sheet of 27 cards:

What Yankees player in the 1954 TOPPS set was not included in this group ?

The closest I come is a very partial sheet (2 cards) from the 1933 Goudey set. This is from sheet 10 featuring the World Series participants, the Manush being the top left card on the sheet, and the Bluege being (obviously) the far left card on the row below it.

The other half sheet has Alston at top left, so the cards are printed in equal quantities (except for checklist). 88 unique cards printed, so 3 of each across the two half-sheets.

This is such a great thread. I enjoyed it immensely. Thanks for reviving it, and thanks, Ted, for starting it.

...I really want to get that gorgeous Dom Dimaggio cut out of this and send it off for grading but never seem to find the time to do it properly. The other guys I'll just probably use for coasters.

1979 Topps

I love uncut sheets so I'd like to join in.

It's not nearly so exotic as the other posts in this thread...but I recently picked up a 1979 Topps uncut sheet. Was pretty nice to find it in the UK!

I haven't gotten around to framing it yet. It's still in it's shipping tube so the photo is from the ebay listing.

If someone is willing to educate me, how were uncut sheets made available for old sets? I get that strip cards needed to be cut in the first place. But for old Bowman and Topps sets, were they issued as special gifts to employees or did employees liberate them from the factory?
