Interesting Postcard -T206 Historical signifigance

Posted By: Dan Bretta
I picked this postcard up off of ebay last week - doing a little research I found that it is the same image used for Roy Ellam's T206 card. I originally thought that the postcard showed him in his Cincinnati uniform but on the back is written "Roy Ellam Connellsville"...I have an obituary that came with the card that confirms he played his first year as a professional in Connellsville...anyway I thought this might be of interest to those T206 collectors who like to see the original images that were used for the cards.

Posted By: Dan Bretta
I won it for $40, but it had a buyers premium so I ended up paying $56 shipped. I was the only internet bidder - I was surprised that this didn't get more action, but I may have been the only one who noticed that this was an image used in the T206 set.

Posted By: Frank Wakefield
Thank you for sharing the postcard image, and the information... The Nashville Vols were quite a team back then. And congratulations on a great eye and good buy. Hollar if you decide to part with it.
