$400 in Christmas Money - What would you buy?

Over the holidays I received $400 in Christmas money. What would you buy with the funds?

The nicest '59 Mantle I could find. That card holds some serious personal value in my heart.

anything Jackie Robinson, Ted Williams, Satchel Paige. Maybe more than one.....:o

1955 topps sandy koufax

Hank

1934 Hank greenberg goudey or diamond star... Both beautiful and undervalued cards in my opinion

New socks and probably a few new undershirts. I might splurge for a couple of dress shirts with the money left over.

A 1968 Topps Venezuelan Hank Aaron; and then after you buy it sell it to me. LOL

I also received $400.00 but decided to blow it on $7,800.00 dollars worth of furnace and a A/C unit.

Our furnace was on it's last leg and as the latest furnace man told us, we were living on borrowed time, so it was time to upgrade.

Jim, bide your time carefully, put the money where you can't easily get to it, to avoid making a snap decision.

Make a list of things you would really, really love to own. Really brainstorm. Have fun with it.

Narrow the list to three.

I know you asked us what we would buy, but hey, it's doesn't matter what I would buy. What matters is that you have 400 smackers, and this is all about you and what you would like. Again, take your time, and as the venerable knight said, in such words, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, "But choose wisely."

Have a Happy New Year! ---Brian Powell

His name is, Daikin. Just can't figure out who he played for? He is versatile as he can play 2 positions but he does look different when doing so.:D

I would scour eBay for a couple of great random vintage lots. keep some of the cards, sell enough to break even and start again. Then flip some cards on Comc and buy an auto I really like.

I'll second that! Dale, when you gotta have it, ya gotta have it. Hope it lasts 20 years, bro. Think of it as an investment that comforts and protects you, your family, and your collection!;) Happy New Year, buddy. ---Brian Powell

Lou Brock RC; really love that card and so sorry I sold mine years ago.

Rich Klein 01-01-2017 04:57 PM

In all seriousness, buy whatever you like. You will be the collector of that card so enjoy what you have.

If you are a fan of a player or a team buy the best ONE card within that $400 you like

Rich
